Are white kitchens classic or trendy? Opinion varies widely, but one thing is certain: we've been seeing a lot of white kitchens lately. So it's a nice to see a kitchen renovation that deliberately goes in the other direction. The owners of this kitchen wanted a warmer, more traditional look to the kitchen, and the white cupboards just weren't cutting it. Here's what they did:
NYC kitchen design company Knockout Renovation handled the remodel. Project Manager Antony Perez reveals that the kitchen's footprint stayed the same; it was only the materials that changed. The owners chose granite countertops, 1x6 glass tiles from Daltite, and cider cherry cabinets for a richer, warmer look. The stainless steel appliances are from LG's Cafe Collection, the sink is made by Blanco, and the cabinet handles are from Top Knobs. From the shopping phase to the final clean-up, the renovation took five weeks and cost about $40,000.
