SPONSORED POST: 3 Satisfying Ways to Transform Yogurt Into a Complete Lunch

2012_09_19-Yoplait-3.jpgyoplait-125x125.jpgAs I've mentioned here before, I am always in search of quick and healthy lunch ideas to get me through the day. I really struggle with afternoon energy crashes, and I need anything and everything I can to keep me on the go. My fianc swears by smoothies, but to be honest, it's more work than I usually want to deal with. (Does anyone else hate cleaning a blender as much as I do?) Okay, maybe I'm just lazy, but at lunchtime I want something that comes together fast with little to no mess.

Here are three smart ways to turn light and healthy yogurt into a filling, nutritious lunch.

2012_09_19-Yoplait-2.jpgSince we always keep an assortment of yogurts in the fridge, I have started to experiment with new flavor combinationsboth sweet and savorythat keep me satisfied without getting bored. Here are the current combos that have me coming back for more:

Yogurt and granola always go hand in hand, and I never seem to get sick of the pairing. I think strawberry yogurt mixed with pumpkin flax-seed granola and banana is almost better than dessert. (Almost.)

I guess some people have been eating peanut butter in their yogurt since preschool, but I only just recently discovered its awesomeness. I warm the peanut butter in the microwave for a few seconds and then swirl it in vanilla yogurt with fresh raspberries. It's rich and totally addicting.

The best part about making yogurt a part of your daily lunch routine? It's prime time for cleaning out the fridge. One day I stirred leftover tomato sauce and some stranded chickpeas into plain yogurt, garnished with diced celery for crunch. Who knew savory could taste so good!

It is so important to take care of my body with healthy food, but it's equally important to me that it still taste great. Yogurt does both. I am an adamant believer in never sacrificing flavor, and with these easy meals I get that much-needed pep without ever feeling deprived. And really, how can it get any better than that?
