Gray Works: Handcrafted Cutting Boards & Serving Trays (Great for Gifts!) Store Spotlight

Mini Footed Platte, $39

This isn't the first time we've talked about Gray Works. Their gorgeous hand-hewn footed cutting boards and serving platters have captured our attention for years. We love them for entertaining, and think any one of the boards makes a stellar gift, particularly for a wedding. (You can also get them engraved!) Most of the boards are in that special-treat $50-$75 range, but there are a few mini platters under $30--in other words, the right price to treat yourself!

All of Gray Works'products are one-of-a-kind and handmade in their small studio in Woodstock, New York using only locally and sustainably harvested or salvaged American hardwoods, and natural, food-safe finishes. The woods they choose are beautiful in that old, gnarly kind of way, and they shape the boards to bring out the unique aspect of the wood, whether it's a beautiful grain or a unique knot. From long serving platters that run the length of the table to smaller breakfast-in-bed trays and regular ol' kitchen cutting boards, they're all worth the investment.
