If you're a fan of Anthropologie, then you'll probably love Emily and Erick's LA kitchen. It's full of sweet, decorative details (the fabric garland chandelier, the purple door) that recall that store's aesthetic. Emily is a prop stylist and interior decorator, so it's no surprise to learn that Anthropologie was a one-time client of hers!
The kitchen remains the couple's proudest DIY. As they told Apartment Therapy in this 2010 House Tour:
[The kitchen] was the first room we did and we practically gutted it. It was also the only room we did without professional help. (Perhaps that's why we still have...the ceiling and unfinished trim.) My husband and his brother put in the subway tile. We did the checkerboard floors together, painted all the cabinets, and put in the butcher-block counters. I think it really suits the style of the house.
It is definitely an eclectic, eccentric kitchen! But don't you want to sit down at that table and have a cup of tea?
